Randy and Blaine of Advance Blinds worked with us to solve a Duette Duolite blind problem that Hunter Douglas could not fix. They provided exceptional customer service. Randy is an innovator who figured out a way to provide us with a window wall of six blinds, all of consistent opacity and cell count. We are so happy with the end result! The window treatments we received from Randy & Heather at Advance Blinds & Drapery have been everything we could wish for! Heather (Advance owner) was amazing at helping us through the many options available to us; making decisions was MUCH easier with her eye for decorating and knowledge of colours, styles and fabrics! She helped us achieve privacy in certain locations while still allowing us to look out and receive light. She helped us choose blinds so we could still use our natural daylight to an optimum (they promote energy efficiency). She advised us on the right amount of room darkening to reduce glare on screens, and how to achieve blackout even with white drapes! Randy and Blaine are very knowledgeable about electronically-operated blinds, and Randy was so handy with adding wireless wall switches and whatever else was needed. He set up an App for us and made it all so user-friendly and easy (or else I wouldn’t have managed it). The App brings ease and joy daily; being able to program and operate our shades from my iPad helps us keep our windows from sweating at night, and keeps the winter sun off the furnishings exactly at the hours when we need this! We received gorgeous heavy drapes for the bedroom, that hang perfectly after repeated opening and closing (they have a thread woven into them at the hem to perfect this). We have insulated honeycomb shades for our living room wall of windows, to keep heat in in winter and keep heat out in summer (saving on our heating and cooling costs). At our kitchen sink, they provided just the right thing, given the heavy-use area. We have two Roman shades and another beautiful shade which dress up the basement very nicely. And we’re so happy with their special patio shade which is beautifully secured on a wire track which keeps it quiet in the wind. Randy and Heather are especially attentive to details, and very particular about everything (perfectionists I would say); they take great care in making it all aesthetically perfect. They are also very available and extend follow-up service if we should need it. We highly recommend this business.
